DYNO TESTED AIR FILTERS:

RamAir have now developed a series of performance kits to upgrade your motorbikes' intake system. Each kit has been flow bench tested to ensure maximum flow & minimum turbulence, to complement each kit further, they have all been dyno tested to ensure they actually work. RamAir chose only to develop the kit if the gains are worthwhile - we decided that a kit should only be developed if the BHP gain was at least 4. Any less than 4 BHP & we believe the rider would not notice or benefit from the kit. So you can be sure, when you purchase your kit that it has actually been tested on both flow bench & dyno - it will work!

What is a RamAir kit?:

RamAir have taken many months developing this introduction of performance kits & have conducted extensive testing on many different models of motorcycle before starting the development of each individual kit. In nearly all of the kits you will receive 3 fundamental components:

  1. A high performance free flowing, cleanable air filter.
  2. A complete set of OE specification upgrade main jets.
  3. An aluminium intake plate or velocity stack (see below)

The above items when combined correctly, give your motorcycle an increase in power, torque & throttle response. Each kit comes complete with a detailed set of fitting instructions to make the upgrade as easy as possible & a power curve achieved by RamAir, illustrating actual results from the kit. The air filter is totally cleanable & is unaffected by water owing to the high performance oil that is impregnated in the foam during manufacture. The kit is ready to go, straight from the box!

Motorcycle Pods (MC):
The 'MC' style air filters, often referred to as custom pods, have been given the addition of a polished chrome top as illustrated. This range is proving more and more popular for the motorcycle owner who believes appearances are important too! We tend to agree, the MC range just adds that finishing touch to your machine.

Oval air filters (MV):
RamAir now have four different dimensioned oval air filters as illustrated in the picture opposite. All oval air filters have the prefix 'MV'. These filters are particularly useful where space amongst the motorcycle's frame is limited. They have been popular with enthusiasts for years, simply clamp them onto your engine's intake and rotate to give the best position for maximum air flow. Then secure the clamp & go. It's that simple, don't risk starving your engine of air, fit the most suitable filter from our range to assist your engine. You WILL notice the difference.

Sock type filters(MS):
RamAir also has sock style air filters, which feature two holes cut out of the foam on the underside of the air filter.The two holes are designed, so that you can pull the air filter over the top of the trumpets of the carburettor or the engine's two air intakes - whichever is necessary. They are constructed completely of foam which enables them to locate in the most difficult of areas.

Many motorcyclists cause unnecessary wear on their engines year after year, by running the engine with no air filter. With the sock air filter, premature engine wear can be avoided & they are so easy to fit. Don't risk your engine - fit a RamAir sock filter.
